Create Project Version – What you will see

Once a project has been created, a version of the project that reflects the transaction data for the desired time period will need to be created. When selecting the ‘Create Project Version’ menu item, a screen displaying all project versions created by users within the system is displayed. (Often in various stages of processing)

The information contained in the main display table is as follows:

  • Project ID
  • Project Name
  • Clustering Version ID
  • Period
  • Request By
  • Created Date
  • Model Details
  • Status

Status display consists of:

  • In Queue
  • Data Format Validation
  • Data Preparation
  • Data Processing
  • Clustering

The user may use the set of available filters to call up a specific project or projects by Project Name and/or Status and/or Project Creation Date.

Errors in the processing are highlighted by a red cross, which when clicked will display a dialog box as shown below.

Clicking Rerun will often allow the algorithm to fix the data and proceed.

Common failures include:

  • Column naming errors – Rectifiable by the algorithm
  • Data removal by the cleanser – Any removed “Noise” is downloadable to view.
  • Insufficient data – The product group/time selection does not provide enough data points for the algorithm to produce a suitable outcome. Increase the time selection and/or the product group selection.
