Retailigence offers you an option to edit your clustering scheme before you baseline it. Simply click on the ‘Edit Dashboard’ icon available against all non-baselined clusters. The function allows the user to move stores between clusters, which is useful when a cluster is too small and not commercially viable. E.G. a 1 store cluster.
Upon clicking on this icon, you will be presented with a window that contains a table with the following information:
- Store ID
- Store Name
- Assign New Cluster ID – Use the drop down list to manually move a store to a different cluster (see below)
- Nearest Store ID – Confirms the geographically nearest store
- Next Nearest Cluster – Confirms the statistically next nearest cluster for the user to consider if a store needs to be moved eg. because it is a single store cluster
- Assign New Space Break – Allows a new space break to be assigned
You can assign a store to a different cluster ID by selecting a cluster of your choice from the available drop-down list. Simply make your selection or selections and click ‘Save’.
Once a cluster scheme is agreed it needs to be baselined. (After a scheme has been baselined, the dashboards or data science of other schemes cannot be viewed). Baselining sets which cluster scheme will be used for assortment optimisation.
